Pay Details
- The estimated range of $20–$25 per hour reflects variations in individual customer service performance and overall business volume. Our part-time servers receive a base wage of $6 per hour, plus all earned tips, including both cash and credit card tips. Please note that servers are responsible for a 2.5% processing fee on credit card tips.
On average, part-time servers typically earn $20–$25 per hour when combining their hourly wage with total tip earnings.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and assist with food and beverage selections to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems, ensuring special requests are noted and communicated clearly to the kitchen.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining a lively, positive attitude that energizes the dining experience.
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while providing honest recommendations tailored to guest preferences.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering, processing payments accurately, and giving correct change.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables efficiently, resetting dining areas swiftly, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation, proper food handling, and overall smooth service flow.
- Assist with basic food preparation or setup when needed, supporting overall restaurant operations in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
- Previous restaurant experience is highly preferred but NOT REQUIRED
- Proven skills in food service roles including serving, bussing, hosting/hostessing
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple tables efficiently.
- Basic math skills for cashiering tasks including calculating bills and processing payments accurately.
