Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic DSP/Caregiver to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will assist residents with daily activities, monitor their health and safety, and promote a warm, respectful environment. Duties

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing for changes, and reporting findings to healthcare professionals
  • Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines to ensure privacy and safety
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning in accordance with dietary needs and care plans
  • Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and resident lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols
  • Document resident progress, care activities, and incidents accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations

Requirements

  • Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer's), memory care, and hospice care practices
  • Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training are required or can be obtained upon hire
  • Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs with patience and empathy
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and assist residents with mobility using proper techniques
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, families, and healthcare providers
  • A genuine passion for caregiving combined with a proactive attitude toward resident safety and well-being

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $19.25 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
