Front Counter Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front Counter Associate to join our team in providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer orders, operating POS systems, and ensuring a clean and welcoming atmosphere. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary and retail skills while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems
• Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, including basic food preparation and handling
• Process transactions efficiently through cash handling and cashiering duties, including upselling and suggestive selling techniques
• Maintain cleanliness of the front counter, dining area, and kitchen stations, adhering to sanitation and food safety protocols
• Assist with food prep, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting
• Manage inventory levels at the counter, restocking supplies as necessary
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, café, or grocery store environments is preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and quick calculations during transactions
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Prior experience in food preparation, serving, cashiering, or bussing is desirable but not required
