Job Summary MUST HAVE MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE (Does not necessarily have to be in hotels).
We have owned the hotel for over a year now and are locally owned (also have 2 hotels in KS). Our owners are very involved with the hotel and work alongside our maintenance team from time to time. We've made massive improvements to the hotel and are looking for a team who can help us continue making our additional improvements.
We are seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the optimal operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in industrial maintenance, electrical and mechanical systems, and have experience working within manufacturing or hospitality environments. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment and systems to provide a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for guests and staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and precision measuring instruments.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work order management.
- Conduct welding (including welding), low voltage electrical work, and high voltage repairs as needed.
- Use industrial mechanic skills to repair or replace components on elevators, scissor lifts, HVAC units, and other machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory.
- Assist with field service tasks related to customer service or client-specific requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols for high voltage or hazardous environments.
- Operate various tools including scissor lifts and other industrial equipment safely.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing facilities or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, welding (including welding), electrical systems (low voltage/high voltage), and schematics reading.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and analysis skills for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician experience preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to industrial mechanics and maintenance procedures.
- Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Ability to operate field service equipment like scissor lifts safely.
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with hotel staff or external vendors.
- Strong communication skills in English are required; military background or industrial electrician experience is a plus.
