Wild Acre Restaurant and Beer Garden is hiring line cooks with kitchen experience. We are primarily a burger kitchen, but burger experience isn't required. Previous kitchen and line cook experience is a must though
Wild Acre is seeking 2-3 part-time Line Cooks who are consistently available Thursday through Sunday. Weekend and evening availability are required. The kitchen operates between 8:30am-10:30pm, and is open to customers from 11am-10pm.
Summary
In the role of a Part-time Line Cook, you will be integral to our kitchen operations, focusing on food preparation and cooking to deliver high-quality meals. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, you will utilize your culinary experience to ensure efficient meal preparation while adhering to food safety standards. Your experience in food service and customer service will enhance the dining experience for our patrons. Additionally, your familiarity with dishwashing and kitchen maintenance will support a clean and organized workspace, contributing to the overall success of our culinary team.
Awesome customer service, a great work ethic, positive attitude, and reliability are the most important traits for success. We interact with all of our customers so strong customer service skills are a must.
Duties may include: prepping, burger making, expo, managing the oven, washing dishes, cleaning, and interacting with customers.
Requirements
· Weekend and nighttime availability are a MUST
· Must keep a positive approach with coworkers and customers.
· Will prepare and cook all food according to specifications and recipes.
· Will assist with training new team members.
· Will organize and manage all food orders in an orderly fashion and communicate with team members to ensure all food is baked/cooked properly with a standard presentation of all food.
· Must be personally hygienic and professional. Will maintain a clean working area while complying with nutrition sanitation regulations, and safety standards.
· Work quickly and calmly around hot ovens.
· Maintain quality standards and consistency of food by complying with sanitation standards and ongoing training & development.
· Lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods of time.
· Kitchen or line cook experience is a must
· Dedication to serving only the best quality foods.
· Food Handler's certification is required at time of hire or within first 30 days.
· Will complete daily kitchen cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dishes, etc.
