Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order within our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all employees, students and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of various surfaces.
• Maintain floors through appropriate care techniques such as buffing and waxing.
• Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and sanitized regularly.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
• Assist with industrial cleaning processes as required by specific areas of the facility.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts in compliance with company policies.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repair needs or equipment malfunctions.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of cleanliness.

Skills

• Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and chemicals used in commercial cleaning environments.
• Familiarity with floor care practices including buffing, waxing, and maintenance of various flooring types.
• Experience in residential painting or porter duties is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cleaning and maintenance work effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
