Bakery Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Bakery Associate to join our team. This role involves assisting with food preparation, customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized bakery environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent time management skills, and experience in food service or retail settings. As a Bakery Associate, you will play a key role in delivering a positive customer experience while ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are upheld.

Responsibilities

• KIng Cake decorators, cashiers, donut fryers, dishwashers needed.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales transactions
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with product selection and answering inquiries
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
• Upsell bakery items and promote specials to enhance sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area, including baking stations, display cases, and equipment
• Restock shelves and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed
• Assist with bussing tables or cleaning dining areas as needed in café or retail environments
• Follow food safety guidelines and sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations
• Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient operation of the bakery

Experience

• Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or retail environments is preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Experience working in quick service or fast-food restaurants is advantageous
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and basic math skills for cash handling and retail math
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products effectively
• Kitchen or café experience, including serving or bussing duties, is beneficial
• Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $ $12.00 per hour
