We are seeking a diligent and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Charlotte, North Carolina. You will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, verifying inventory, and coordinating with carriers to ensure all packages are handled correctly. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Accurately pick, pack, and label outgoing shipments according to company and carrier guidelines.
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs forms.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track deliveries.
- Maintain inventory records and perform regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet jacks and dollies, as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and external partners.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, including organizing stock and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement in all aspects of the job.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a related logistics role is preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. A dedication to safety and adherence to all regulations is paramount. Must be eligible to work in the US and pass a background check.
