Join our expanding logistics team as an Order Picker in Kansas City, Missouri! We are searching for enthusiastic individuals who can accurately and efficiently retrieve items from our warehouse stock to fulfill customer orders. As an Order Picker, you will be essential to our fulfillment process, ensuring that our customers receive the correct products in a timely manner. This role involves navigating the warehouse, using picking technology (scanners), and preparing items for the packing station. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations based on order slips or scanner prompts.
- Verify item numbers and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area using appropriate equipment (e.g., carts, pallet jacks).
- Maintain productivity standards and achieve picking targets.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues encountered during picking to supervisors.
- Keep the picking areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including proper lifting techniques.
- Wear required PPE at all times while on the warehouse floor.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret order picking instructions.
- Proficiency with handheld scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong sense of responsibility and time management.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to safety and wearing PPE.
