We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role is crucial to our warehouse operations, ensuring that our clients receive the correct items in a timely manner. You will work closely with inventory management systems and other warehouse staff to maintain optimal stock levels and order fulfillment rates.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets or electronic scanners.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping station.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Operate electric pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially concerning safety protocols.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform duties involving significant lifting and movement of goods throughout the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order tickets and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving manual lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
