We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and organization of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for accurately tracking inventory levels, conducting regular stock checks, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring all items are properly documented. Your meticulous approach will directly support our logistics operations by providing reliable data for order fulfillment and stock management. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and possesses strong data entry skills. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inventory counts and audits.
- Accurately record inventory data, including receipts, issues, and adjustments.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Assist with the receiving and put-away process to ensure accurate placement.
- Maintain organized and clean inventory storage areas.
- Generate inventory reports as needed.
- Monitor stock levels and report low stock items.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with cycle counting and stocktaking activities.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure inventory accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an inventory clerk or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (IMS) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to move around the warehouse and perform some Lifting up to 25 lbs.
