We are hiring an Order Picker for our warehouse in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is fundamental to our fulfillment process, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently assembled. The Order Picker will navigate the warehouse, identify specified items, and prepare them for shipment. Success in this position relies on accuracy, speed, and a dedication to maintaining organized inventory. Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and pick specified items from warehouse shelves according to order lists.
- Verify product information and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Use RF scanners or other technology to track inventory and update order statuses.
- Stage picked items in the designated area for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse environment.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety rules and procedures, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts and stock checks.
- Operate manual pallet jacks or other material handling equipment safely.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily picking goals.
- Support the overall efficiency of the warehouse logistics chain.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous warehouse experience, particularly in picking or packing, is highly desirable. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Basic understanding of inventory control and warehouse logistics. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. Must be able to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods. Adherence to safety protocols and the mandatory use of PPE is crucial.
