We are looking for experienced Forklift Operators to join our bustling warehouse operations in San Antonio, Texas. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Operating a forklift is essential to our logistics flow, ensuring that goods are transported from receiving to storage, and from storage to shipping areas promptly. You will also be involved in loading and unloading trucks, as well as staging products for order fulfillment. Safety is our utmost priority, and all forklift operators must demonstrate proficiency in safe operation, adhere to all company safety policies, and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, responsibility, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A valid forklift certification is required. Key responsibilities include:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently and securely.
- Transport materials to and from designated warehouse locations, including receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and locations.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including site-specific procedures and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including order picking and packing.
- The role involves regular lifting, as well as the physical demands of operating heavy machinery.
- Contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics and warehouse management system.
- Participate in inventory counts and stocktaking as required.
- Follow all established safety protocols to minimize accidents and injuries.
