We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our busy facility in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In this essential role, you will manage the inbound flow of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from the moment shipments arrive. Your duties will include unloading trucks, verifying shipment contents against documentation, inspecting for damage, and accurately entering received items into our inventory system. Maintaining a high level of accuracy and adhering to strict Safety protocols are critical to success in this position. This role is fundamental to our Logistics operations and requires physical capability and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
- Compare received goods against purchase orders, packing lists, and invoices.
- Document any discrepancies, damages, or shortages and report them promptly.
- Input received inventory data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) with precision.
- Label and direct incoming stock to its appropriate storage location.
- Ensure the receiving area is kept clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Comply with all company Safety policies and procedures, utilizing all necessary PPE .
- Support inventory control initiatives, including cycle counts.
- Perform regular Lifting duties, up to 50 pounds.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve receiving issues.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving clerk, warehouse associate, or similar role is beneficial.
- Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with WMS.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and Lifting throughout the shift.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety and correct PPE usage.
- Good communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external carriers.
- Basic understanding of Logistics principles is a plus.
