Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Life Insurance Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will help individuals and families secure their financial future by offering tailored life insurance solutions. This role focuses on building long-term client relationships, providing expert guidance on life insurance products, and growing a strong client portfolio through effective sales and service strategies. Duties
- Identify potential clients through outside sales efforts, including community outreach, referrals, retail settings, and telemarketing campaigns
- Assess clients' financial situations, long-term goals, and protection needs to determine appropriate life insurance coverage
- Present and explain life insurance products (term, whole, universal, final expense, etc.), ensuring clients understand features, benefits, and limitations
- Recommend customized life insurance solutions aligned with clients' budgets and future planning objectives
- Assist clients with applications, underwriting requirements, policy issuance, and beneficiary updates
- Support clients with policy reviews, renewals, and claims guidance as needed
- Develop and implement marketing and prospecting strategies to generate new leads and retain existing clients
- Maintain accurate client records, sales documentation, and compliance requirements
- Provide bilingual support (Spanish/English) to effectively serve a diverse client base
- Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly, professionally, and empathetically to client inquiries
Skills
- Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, or life insurance sales with a solid understanding of consultative selling techniques
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain sensitive financial concepts clearly and confidently
- Excellent interpersonal and trust-building skills to establish long-term client relationships
- Analytical skills to evaluate financial needs and recommend suitable life insurance products
- Negotiation and closing skills to successfully convert prospects into clients
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly desirable
- Customer service mindset with a focus on empathy, integrity, and follow-through
- Knowledge of marketing and lead-generation strategies within the insurance industry
- Strong sales administration and organizational skills for managing client data and policy documentation
- Ability to work independently, stay self-motivated, and adapt to changing market conditions
