ZELP was an inaugural winner of the Terra Carta Design Lab, and has received funding and support from the European Commission, Innovate UK, The Global Methane Hub and the Gates Foundation. Role Summary
As Senior Design Engineer within ZELP, you will provide instrumental engineering input, and play a fundamental role in the development of ZELP\'s technologies . Main Responsibilities
Concepting and ideation Supporting key design decision making alongside other senior and lead engineers Providing quality drawings and CAD for prototyping and fabrication of parts Hands-on prototyping and building of test samples Producing and maintaining thorough and accurate design project documentation Preparing, testing, and monitoring the progress of trials so that all failures to meet requirements are corrected in a timely manner and communicated effectively to the team Implementing design changes that are evaluated for feasibility, cost, and timing and implemented with care and thoroughness Supporting other departments (Hardware, Software, Animal Science) with problem-solving and other project activities Requirements
Proven experience with:
New product/technology concept development 3D CAD (Solidworks, OnShape) 2D drawings and concepting Tolerance stacks DFM Has had exposure to:
Hands-on testing Managing external suppliers Manufacturing at high volume / production lines Nice to have experience in:
Gas sensing and sensor housing
