Job Description We are looking for a
Desktop Support Specialist
to provide technical assistance and support to end users for hardware, software, and network-related issues. This position will be
a
full-time contract
and
onsite . What You'll Do Provide first- and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues
Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems, applications, and updates
Respond to help desk tickets, phone calls, and walk-up support requests in a timely manner
Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT teams when necessary
Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, solutions, and system configurations
Assist with onboarding and offboarding by setting up and decommissioning user accounts and equipment
Support remote users via phone, email, and remote access tools
Ensure compliance with security policies, including antivirus, patching, and access controls
Participate in asset management, inventory tracking, and equipment lifecycle management
What You'll Need Required: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience
1-3 years of experience in a desktop support or help desk role
Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts
Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills
Preferred: IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications
Experience supporting mobile devices (iOS, Android)
Basic scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash)
Knowledge of endpoint management tools (Intune, SCCM, JAMF)
Physical Demands Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
May require lifting and moving computer equipment (up to 40 lbs)
Frequent interaction with employees at all levels of the organization
