Join our dynamic Predictive Analytics team as a Lead AI Data Scientist and play a pivotal role in crafting and executing our Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) strategy. As a key member, you'll drive the development and deployment of state-of-the-art AI/ML models that propel business growth, inform strategic initiatives, and transform business decision-making. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to define complex business problems, create tailored solutions, and implement advanced analytical and machine learning techniques that enhance business outcomes. Purpose:
Leverage data and statistical analysis to enhance business decisions and improve results across diverse functional areas. Roles & Responsibilities: Lead the formulation and execution of the AI/ML strategy. Develop, deploy, and maintain predictive models using Python, focusing on cutting-edge AI and machine learning techniques. Utilize expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) for innovative solutions in natural language processing and text analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify challenges and formulate data-driven solutions. Coordinate with data engineering teams to design effective data pipelines and architectures. Conduct predictive analytics and modeling with guidance on complex projects. Prepare presentations on predictive analytics and modeling outcomes for stakeholders. Address loosely defined problems with creative approaches, contributing to projects that generate actionable insights to enhance customer satisfaction and business profitability. Conduct data preparation tasks and identify anomalies, seeking guidance on necessary adjustments. Document assumptions and findings, effectively communicating results to team members and internal stakeholders. Create and uphold best practices in modeling techniques in collaboration with business partners. Translate advanced analytics and modeling procedures into relatable language for diverse audiences. Organize and prioritize workload effectively, demonstrating strong organizational skills. Maintain excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and enhance understanding of insurance processes. Required Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in Python, with experience in libraries such as NumPy, pandas, and scikit-learn. Proficiency in additional programming languages, including R. In-depth knowledge of AI and machine learning principles, including supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, and natural language processing. Experience with Databricks or similar big data platforms is highly desired. Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or Azure, is a plus. Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns. Experience in an agile work environment, familiar with Scrum or Kanban methodologies. Commitment to model testing, validation, and continuous improvement. Familiarity with MLflow for model management and deployment. Skills / Knowledge / Experience: Leading a team in completing modeling projects and statistical analysis. Effectively communicating results to stakeholders to drive business decisions. Participating in the creation of best practices and proposing innovative techniques. Assisting in project management and directing junior team members. Minimum of six years of data science/predictive analytics experience in the insurance sector, or eight years in another industry. Education and Certifications: Master's degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
