Covering the whole of the UK, we work with some of the biggest Transport Operators, Trailer Manufacturers and Supermarkets in the UK, and are looking for a Graduate Mobile Application Developer to join our growing team.
The Basics
* 37.5 hours Monday – Friday
* 25 days holiday per Annum plus Bank holidays
* Home based with attendance at our Runcorn office required for on-boarding, and for up to 2 days every 8 weeks for team building and project planning. You may also be required to attend devices on-site (either at a SAF group office or a customer site) where appropriate for fault-finding that cannot be performed remotely.
As a Graduate Mobile Application Developer, you will support in the design and development of mobile applications aimed at a variety of user types to complement Axscend’s suite of products and services. You will be expected to write clear, testable, extensible software and create supporting documentation allowing others to work with your solutions easily.
As a graduate, you will be expected to demonstrate a pro-active attitude towards solving problems, collaborating with others to break down and resolve complex problems, producing efficient solutions for internal teams, third party support engineers, and customers. This role will work closely with both our web and embedded development teams in producing solutions - as such you will need to be a confident communicator.
This role provides structured opportunities for learning, mentorship, and professional development within a collaborative engineering environment.
*Requirements*
* Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Communications or related field or experience.
* Experience developing mobile applications for iOS & Android using Flutter or other relevant frameworks.
* Understanding of OO languages & principles.
* Experience using source control (preferably Git).
* Experience working with REST APIs.
* Strong problem-solving abilities.
* Keen desire to learn and innovate.
* Excellent time-management skills.
* A ‘can-do’ attitude.
* Ability to communicate ideas clearly.
* Willingness to receive feedback and continuously improve technical and professional skills.
