Dance Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Teacher to inspire students of all ages in our vibrant dance program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles, including ballet and theater, and possess excellent skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management. This role offers an opportunity to foster creativity, promote childhood development, and cultivate a love for dance through engaging instruction and personalized mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, including early childhood education and adult education classes.
• Lead engaging dance classes that incorporate ballet, theater, and other styles, ensuring students receive quality instruction aligned with their developmental needs.
• Manage classroom environments effectively, utilizing behavior management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Plan lessons that integrate elements of choreography, performance preparation, and artistic expression while accommodating students with special education needs.
• Provide individualized tutoring and feedback to help students improve technique, confidence, and performance skills.
• Incorporate photography and multimedia tools to document student progress and enhance class engagement.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, preschool experience, and classroom experience.
• Support students' emotional growth by fostering a safe space for creative expression and personal achievement.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children, including preschool or early childhood education settings.
• Strong background in dancing disciplines such as ballet, theater arts, or other relevant styles.
• Demonstrated ability in lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management strategies.
• Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and needs, including special education populations.
• Skills in curriculum development, tutoring, and classroom experience are highly desirable.
• Passion for teaching and inspiring students through innovative dance instruction.

Pay: $ $70.00 per hour
