We are looking for a talented Inside Sales Representative that thrives in a quick sales cycle environment to add to our Inside Sales and Support Group. This position is the primary contact for our customers, distribution partners and outside sales force. You'll be responsible for fielding, responding to sales inquiries, and entering in orders within assigned territories and key accounts in an effort to drive sales through quality service and support.
LUTZE is a manufacturer of wire, cable and control products for automated machinery, control systems and plant construction. We are a growing company within an evolving and growing automation industry and excited with the opportunity to add to our service oriented team.
Responsibilities
- First and primary inside contact for product related questions, documentation, quotations, inventory status, product returns, credits and general sales inquiries from our customers and distribution partners
- Helps to execute regional sales strategies and support the sales efforts of our Regional Sales Managers and Manufacturing Reps within assigned territories and key accounts
- Responds to requests for quotation by researching, gathering critical information, and communicating the proper selection of a product or alternative; works with Product Management in more technical situations
- Uses discretion and judgement when determining and negotiating price concessions to maximize profit while meeting customer needs
- Point of contact between distributor and internal departments for large quotations, projects and orders with the goal of ensuring appropriate and accurate information is presented and distributed clearly and properly
- Helps identify opportunities to improve efficiencies internally as well as externally between LUTZE and our distribution partners
- Enter all incoming orders into the ERP system for your territory
- Allocate and release stock per order
- Verify customer data and review orders for completeness.
- Provide order information to customers by email, such as unit price, shipping dates, or anticipated delays.
- Prepare and print orders, pick/pack tickets and labels; deliver to warehouse
- Check inventory records to determine availability of requested merchandise and make adjustments if necessary
- Review's system generated reports to proactively follow-up opportunities and effectively communicate with Regional Sales Managers regarding distributor activity / performance
- Helps execute corporate strategy for national accounts
- Participates in product and position related training both internally and externally
Skills
- Industry and sales experience (distribution and/or manufacturing), preferred
- Ability to work in a dynamic business environment, organize, prioritize, and complete tasks at own initiative with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a dynamic business environment with and around others
- Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills (face to face, phone, email)
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office programs required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a technical related field
- 2-3 years' experience in an
