Baker/Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Baker/Cashier. This role involves providing excellent customer service while managing transactions efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As well as Baking our amazing cookies to perfection. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, bakery, or culinary arts, along with experience in food handling and customer interaction. Prior experience in the food industry, including restaurant or catering settings, is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases
• Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately
• Provide knowledgeable assistance about bakery items, pastries, and food products
• Package baked goods and food items with care and attention to presentation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Assist in food preparation tasks such as baking, and decorating the cookies
• Support kitchen operations including food production, pastry decoration, and catering setup
• Manage inventory levels of packaging supplies and bakery ingredients
• Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety throughout the work area

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, bakery, or culinary environment preferred
• Knowledge of cake decorating, baking, and pastry techniques is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
• Ability to handle food safely and follow proper hygiene protocols
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with food preparation methods preferred
• Experience with food handling regulations within the food industry or restaurant setting is advantageous
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
• Prior kitchen experience or culinary training is beneficial but not mandatory

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week
