JOB PURPOSE

The Cleaning Grit Blasting Technician involves cleaning, blasting, and chemical stripping of environmentally friendly coatings.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepping components for stripping process
  • Follow pre-established guidelines and instructions to perform job functions
  • Use OEM and Proprietary design prints to ensure proper outcome
  • Fabricate, modify fixtures and maintain department equipment

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 50 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Equipment Operated: Ability to operate basic machines and equipment and assist with troubleshooting problems with equipment.

Work Location: Aviation Welding Technologies 73 Commerce Drive, Uxbridge, MA

Protective Equipment Required: None

Potential Hazards: Exposure to materials identified on Material Safety Data Sheets.

Experience: Entry level. Experience preferred but not required
