Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The ideal candidate will also possess the skills necessary to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of our clients. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for those we serve.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Monitor and record vital signs to ensure the health and safety of clients.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety protocols.
• Assist in administration of medication.
• Charting and documentation
• Cooking meals

Skills

• Knowledge of ADLs and experience in the working with mentally disabled individuals.
• Certification in CPR is preferred to ensure readiness for emergencies.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
