Join our small, fun, and collaborative clinic team as a compassionate, energetic, and creative behavior Technician, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), degree or someone with some college experience or teaching skills You'll have the chance to work with elementary and middle school learners with autism in a play-based, social skills afterschool program where every day is an opportunity to spark curiosity, build friendships, and help kids grow in independence and confidence. Position Details
- Schedule: Monday–Saturday
- AFTERSCHOOL Hours: Based on learners individual scheduled between
- Monday – Friday between 2:30 pm – 6:45 pm *indicates typical sessions
- *2:30-6:30 *3:15 – 6:30 *3:30-6:30 *3:45 – 6:45 pm
- Occasional Saturday between 9:00 – 3:30 pm (3 hr minimum) for backups and backup
- Weekly Hours: Approximately 9-15 hours (average ~12) 3 hour minimums * 3-5 times a week
- Location: 100% clinic-based
- Pay: Competitive and based on experience, education, and credentials
- Start Date: Immediate or preferred by January 12th
- Job Type: Part-Time
About the Program
The In Our World TLC's Afterschool So'Cool Social Skills Program is for elementary and middle school learners who want to have friends. What makes our program unique? Our learners are verbal, eager to make friends, and motivated to connect—they enjoy social interactions, games and respond positively to guidance (no aggression), making it a supportive and encouraging environment for building skills and friendships.
Our afterschool times include:
- Group interactive session with activities like sports, art, games, community outings, play
- Individual direct teaching time
- Social, foundational, and independence skills training
We use our gym, outdoor area, kitchen, large individual learning rooms and close community businesses daily to keep learning active, engaging, and fun.
Our Goal:
To spark imagination, turn play into learning, and help children make friends, build social skills, and grow confidence and independence—one fun activity at a time

Responsibilities
- Implement individualized and group treatment plans using ABA principles and play-based learning
- Support development of social, communication, and behavioral skills
- Collect accurate data and maintain clear documentation
- Create positive, creative, and engaging learning experiences
- Collaborate closely with the BCBA and team members
Qualifications
- Experience working with elementary and middle schoolchildren, especially those with autism or developmental delays
- Strong communication skills with learners, families, and team members
- Patient, empathetic, and genuinely enjoys working with children
- Detail-oriented with documentation and program implementation
- Ability to create fun out of everyday moments and actively engage in play
- Reliable for the continuity of program goals.
- Physically able to be on/off the floor easily, run, jump, play sports, games and model play
- Ability to safely lift up to 40 lbs
Requirements
- Must be 20 years old or older
- Require: minimum some college or previous coaching/teaching experience
- Prefer RBT but not required
- Reliable transportation to and from the clinic
- English-proficient speaker
