Construction Service Technician

Job Summary:

The Service Technician is responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and installation work on modular homes in the field. This role requires a strong understanding of construction trades, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality customer service during on-site visits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform punch-out and service work on modular homes and/or buildings post-delivery and set.
• Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of issues including plumbing, electrical, drywall, flooring, siding, roofing, windows, and doors.
• Read and interpret blueprints, floorplans, and job orders.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
• Document service work performed and complete required paperwork for each job.
• Ability to communicate and work closely with teams at the factory to ensure work is completed on time and correctly.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicle in good condition.
• Comply with all OSHA and company safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in residential construction, carpentry, electrical, or plumbing preferred.
• Modular or manufactured home experience a plus.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and DOT medical card required.
• Ability to travel to various job sites throughout the Northeast, New England and Mid-Atlantic States with overnight travel required regularly.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform manual labor in various weather conditions.

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings, including commercial construction sites, and customer homes.
• May be exposed to varying weather conditions and physically demanding tasks.
