Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, assist with seating arrangements, and provide menus promptly
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring efficient processing
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and drinks with professionalism, ensuring proper presentation and timely delivery
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations, including bussing and sanitation duties
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure food safety standards are met and dietary restrictions are accommodated
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a memorable dining experience
• Assist with opening or closing duties as needed, including setting up or breaking down service areas
• Support other team members in a fast-paced environment, including host/host duties or food preparation when necessary

Requirements

• Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing processes
• Experience in food industry roles such as serving, bussing, hosting/hostessing, or kitchen support is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in dynamic environments like fine dining establishments or nightclubs
• Strong communication skills coupled with a friendly attitude that fosters guest loyalty
