Duties

• Prepare surfaces meticulously by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings using hand tools and power tools such as airless sprayers for efficient coverage.
• Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine surface dimensions and project specifications.
• Perform detailed trim carpentry, fixture installation, and stucco work to enhance the overall finish of each project.
• Execute commercial and industrial painting tasks with precision, adhering to safety standards and project timelines.
• Conduct restoration and renovation work by repairing surfaces, removing old paint or wallpaper, and preparing spaces for new finishes.
• Utilize construction estimating skills to assess materials needed for projects and assist in planning work sequences on construction sites.

Requirements

• Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or construction painting with a solid understanding of surface preparation techniques.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools—including airless paint sprayers—and equipment like scaffolding or ladders safely.
• Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math for accurate measurements.
• Familiarity with construction site protocols, safety procedures, and experience working on renovation or restoration projects.
• Ability to perform plastering, caulking, masonry work, framing carpentry, drywall finishing, and other related trades as needed.
• Hands-on experience with industrial painting processes such as welding or concrete finishing is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to read technical drawings like schematics or blueprints confidently.
• Valid experience in maintenance tasks including fixture installation or maintenance person work is advantageous.
