Litigation Associate Attorney

The McShane Firm represents the citizen accused of a crime by the government. From summary offenses all the way to death penalty cases, we have represented 1000s of citizens over our 20 years in advocating for the citizen accused. We are passionate about what we do. The McShane Firm is currently looking to hire a litigation associate who will zealously advocate on behalf of clients. The McShane Firm is a Harrisburg-based law firm that focuses on criminal law, DUI, and Forensic Science-related matters.

Applicants must currently be a current member of the PA Bar. All applicants must have an issue-free disciplinary record, and be computer proficient.

Responsibilities:

• Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings
• Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome
• Supervise administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerks
• Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence
• Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies

Qualifications:

• Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must
• Ability to use Microsoft Office is required
• Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required
• Able to work independently while handling multiple files
• Graduation from law school with a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and passed the PA Bar exam.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75, $85,000.00 per year
