Responsibilities
The Finance and Treasury IT team provides strategic solutions and support for the various applications and platforms supporting Finance and Treasury functions. The team is responsible for:
- Solution architecting
- Development and support
- Technical documentation
- Coordinating with the Finance and Program Management teams regarding program deliverables
- Unit Testing and UAT support
- Production Release deployment
Summary
Lead Technical Business Analyst to drive and support Finance IT projects initiatives. The ideal candidate would have a strong background in analyzing the business requirements, partner with development team for technical solutions using various technologies and support end-to-end delivery for projects. This position will be the 'go-to' person for the project status for senior management as well as escalated support assistance and BAU enhancements. This position is the right fit for someone with both business (capital markets/banking a plus) and technology skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of business analysts, fostering analytical excellence and stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborating with business, PMO, technical teams, and senior leadership to define and implement project plans, functional specifications, and user stories.
- Read and understand BRDs and guide BAs to produce and document optimum technical solutions.
- Perform quality control on the project deliveries.
- Define and guide the development of business solutions that align with strategic goals and technical capabilities.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in data technologies, particularly related to financial analytics.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years' experience as a technical BA Lead preferrable in banking industry
- 5+ years' experience as a team lead or manager for business analysts
- Experience in working with business/users including gathering quantitative and qualitative data to produce user-centric solutions
- Successfully led and motivated a small, cross-functional team to achieve project milestones
- Experience in creating testing plans and performing quality control on the project deliveries
- Experience in financial reporting, analytics, and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Qlik)
- Proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, and data modeling
- Bachelor's in Computer Science/Engineering or similar field
- Preferred Master's degree such as MBA/MS
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience working with medium to large banking firms
- Knowledge of different financial products such as derivatives, repos, and bonds
- Technical functional knowledge of Databricks, SQL Server, PowerBI a plus but not required
The expected base salary ranges from $111k-$185k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
