Lead Painter/Foreman

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Painter/Foreman to oversee and execute high-quality painting projects across diverse construction sites. This role is vital in ensuring that painting operations are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of craftsmanship. As a leader on-site, you will coordinate teams, manage schedules, and uphold safety protocols while delivering exceptional results. Your expertise in construction management, blueprint reading, and quality control will drive project success from start to finish.

Duties

• Lead and supervise painting crews, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to meet project deadlines
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure scope and specifications are clearly understood
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute painting plans
• Manage project schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 or ProCore to optimize workflow
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and conduct regular safety meetings on-site
• Oversee material procurement, inventory management, and budgeting for painting supplies
• Conduct quality control inspections to guarantee that work meets industry standards and client expectations
• Supervise the preparation of surfaces, application of paints/coatings, and finishing touches with precision
• Utilize tools such as Ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary on specialized projects
• Maintain detailed documentation including daily reports, safety logs, and project updates

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction site management with a focus on painting or finishing trades
• Supervising experience leading teams in fast-paced environments with multiple projects underway
• Strong knowledge of construction management software including Primavera P6, Bluebeam, ProCore, HeavyBid, and Primavera for scheduling and estimating
• Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating techniques
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety protocols specific to construction sites
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately for precise execution of work
• Experience with construction budgeting, contracts management, and project scheduling tools
• Proficiency in using measurement tools such as Ohmmeters for electrical testing when required
• Excellent management skills with a focus on team supervision, communication, and problem-solving skills
