Executive Assistant / Business Manager (Second-in-Command)

About the Role
We are the owners of multiple retail businesses across Alabama and are looking for a highly capable Executive Assistant / Business Manager to serve as our second-in-command and primary intermediary between ownership and daily operations.
This is not a desk-only admin role. This is a hands-on, high-trust position for someone who is organized, assertive, detail-obsessed, and comfortable stepping into stores, offices, vendor relationships, and occasionally the owners' home to keep life and business running smoothly.
If you love order, efficiency, accountability, and fixing problems before they become problems — this role is for you.
Core Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact between ownership and store managers/employees
- Execute, track, and follow up on priorities across multiple retail businesses
- Work inside different store locations as needed to understand operations and ensure standards are being met
- Handle scheduling, task management, documentation, reminders, and follow-ups for ownership
- Manage vendors, contractors, service providers, and professional relationships
- Assist with light HR coordination, onboarding, policy enforcement, and accountability
- Support personal/household logistics for owners when needed (errands, coordination, organization)
- Identify inefficiencies and fix them without being asked
- Maintain systems, checklists, and processes that keep chaos from creeping in
