MSRC is seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. This individual will support the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC) Fires Portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Systems Engineer will provide programmatic and technical expertise to support aerospace, Dod related programs. In this role, the candidate will collaborate closely with engineers, scientists, and R&D teams to ensure system requirements are properly defined, allocated, verified, and validated across the full program lifecycle. The Systems Engineer will support integration of hardware and software solutions, participate in technical reviews, and ensure compliance with performance, quality, and contractual requirements. This position requires strong systems thinking, effective cross-functional communication, and the ability to translate mission needs into executable technical solutions. The selected candidate will provide:

  • Army Fires / Air Defense capability gap, technology needs, and requirements assessments.
  • Comparative analysis of candidate systems, components, and approaches for technical feasibility, compatibility, and cost effectiveness.
  • Coordination with government and contractor team members to generate project documentation, including strategies, plans, and reports.
  • Project execution, planning, tracking, and reporting, including IMS and Risk management.
  • Programmatic support including white papers, action items, executive summaries, and other quick response tasks.
  • Informational and decision briefs for senior leaders.
  • Integrated Product Team and stakeholder coordination support.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering, hardware engineering, or system integration on complex technical programs.
  • Experience supporting RDT&E and/or DoD Program Office support.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements allocation, configuration management, and change control.
  • Experience reviewing and validating OEM technical deliverables such as requirements documents, test plans, test reports, and specifications.
  • Air Defense Expertise across one or more of a range of technical areas including missile component technologies, air defense command and control, radar technologies and M&S.
  • Ability to produce, present, and action technical and programmatic discussions and meetings for engineers, managers, ranking military, Subject Matter Experts, and Business Development audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and willingness to lead within a team environment.
  • Capable of coordinating and leading 3-20+ person virtual and in-person meetings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint and Teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills required.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • Discernment of and ability to operate with awareness of organizational interests and respect to military, civilian and corporate chains of command.

Education and Experience:

  • Masters degree in Engineering

Additional Requirements:

  • Active Secret DoD Clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
