Job Description:
Food Manufacturer hiring a Business Analyst, in office 5 days a week. The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) acts as the liaison between business stakeholders and the IT function to ensure systems, processes, and data solutions effectively support business operations and strategic goals. This role is responsible for understanding business needs, translating them into functional requirements, improving system workflows, managing enhancements, supporting integrations, and ensuring overall system reliability and user adoption.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, an understanding of core business processes, and experience supporting and optimizing enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, HCM, and other SaaS platforms). And this is how you'll do it...
Requirements Gathering & Process Improvement
- Partner with functional leaders (Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, HR, etc.) to understand business needs and translate them into detailed requirements.
- Evaluate current-state processes; recommend and design future-state improvements.
- Draft functional specifications, workflows, use cases, and user stories.
- Lead process mapping, gap analysis, and root cause identification.
System Administration & Support
- Serve as the primary administrator for assigned business applications (ERP, CRM, HCM, or others).
- Configure system fields, workflows, roles/permissions, dashboards, and integrations.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Coordinate patches, releases, and regression testing.
Project Management & Implementation
- Lead or support system upgrades, module deployments, and new software implementations.
- Coordinate with vendors, developers, and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time.
- Support data migrations, QA testing, and validation activities.
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, and change logs.
Data & Reporting
- Create reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses to support business decision-making.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and governance within core systems.
- Support integrations between systems (APIs, middleware, ETL tools as needed).
User Experience & Training
- Develop training materials, job aids, and onboarding documentation.
- Deliver ongoing user training and ensure consistent adoption of system best practices.
- Act as the first escalation point for business system support and end-user questions.
Experience and Skills:
- 3-5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Systems Administrator, or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with one or more major enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HCM, Finance, Supply Chain, or similar).
- Strong process analysis, documentation, and workflow design skills.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data, reports, and dashboards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, CPG, or similar operational environments.
- Experience supporting ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, Infor, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with APIs, middleware, or basic SQL for troubleshooting integrations.
- Project management experience or certifications (PMP, Agile/Scrum, etc.
Comp Range is $85k - $100k base, plus bonus and Benefits
