Job Title: Life Enrichment Coordinator
Location: Watchung, NJ
Hours: Part-Time (20–29 hours/week)
Salary Range: $19.00 – $26.00/hr

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Life Enrichment Coordinator to plan, implement, and oversee engaging programs, outings, and one-on-one visits for our residents. This role ensures that each sister's experience is meaningful, person-centered, and aligned with our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and provide group activities and individualized programs based on resident interests.
• Prepare and manage annual department budget in collaboration with leadership.
• Maintain open communication with team members, residents, and families.
• Organize special events, field trips, and volunteer programs.
• Facilitate therapeutic small group activities and individual engagement.
• Ensure the dignity, privacy, and confidentiality of residents at all times.
• Work closely with Food Services, Maintenance, and other departments for event coordination.
• Adjust activities to accommodate special circumstances such as appointments or emergencies.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating daily enrichment programs, including weekends.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field
• 3–5 years relevant experience
• 2+ years' experience in gerontology, long-term care, or dementia care
• Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills
• Ability to work effectively with residents with dementia
• Valid driver's license and ability to transport residents
• Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Preferred:

• Experience in healthcare or religious organizations
• Knowledge of Catholic Church traditions and teachings
• Ability to train, motivate, and guide staff and volunteers
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform daily physical tasks
• Clear vision, hearing, and verbal communication skills
