Summary:

Facility Technician is tasked with performing varied duties to maintain, repair, install and troubleshoot CNG and facility equipment according to safety, rational, and productive maintenance systems. This position reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager. The position plays a key role in supporting CNG delivery operations while providing overall technical assistance to the company and our customers.

Schedule:

  • 6 shifts on 3 shifts off
  • This role is night shift, a night shift premium is provided

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides support for repairs and maintenance of CNG equipment
  • Completes facility maintenance work-orders and related paperwork
  • Assist with the auditing & safety inspections of Compressor, CNG Trailers, Pressure Reduction Systems (PRS) and related equipment
  • Facilitate equipment for upcoming jobs, including pre-job certifications
  • Ensure pressure equipment & trailers are prepared for delivery to the customer's facility
  • Remain current with all management of change installs and retrofits on pressure equipment
  • Repair and test demobilized pressure equipment for upcoming jobs
  • Ensure all repairs and OOS equipment is up to date in maintenance tacking systems
  • Hub efficiency – ensuring that trailers are getting topped off and drivers are taking the fullest trailers available
  • Communicate with dispatch on compressor status, trailer status, and general hub operations
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Regional Operations Manager

Requirements:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in a field technician role
  • Associates of Applied Science in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field can be substituted in lieu of experience
  • Experience in Natural Gas equipment is preferred: compression, power generation, industrial, etc. Production equipment, CNG equipment, field gas equipment or gas compression is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and an ability to deal diplomatically with a wide range of personalities
  • Troubleshooting experience with regulators, valves, instrumentation and electrical
  • Class A CDL with Hazmat is an asset
