Green Beagle Lodge is looking for a candidate experienced in leading a shift and overseeing off-leash dogs on Mondays from 1:45pm -7:45 pm and Wednesdays , Fridays and Sundays form 6:45am - 7:45pm. This is a physically demanding job; consisting of constant movement, heavy cleaning, engaging with dogs of all sizes (5lbs to 150lbs), working outside in every type of weather.

As a privately owned company with two locations, we provide resort style daycare and boarding, as well as bathing and training services. We are a uniquely off-leash facility where everything we do is pack oriented

The right candidate must display not only a passion for animals but a solid work ethic and the confidence to keep our guests safe. We are looking for someone who has dedication for dog wellbeing and has experience handling, reading body language, and managing off-leash groups of dogs. We are also looking for someone with experience with shift leadership, which includes overseeing a group of staff to complete daily tasks.

Main job responsibilities & expectations include:

  • Overseeing the completion of daily care and cleaning for all guests, including feeding & wellness monitoring
  • Overseeing playgroups of dogs (we maintain a 10 dogs per staff member ratio)
  • Communication about behavioral and health concerns within the team and with clients
  • A schedule of 3 full day shifts (6:45 am -7:45pm) and one half day shift (1:45pm - 7:45pm)
  • Assigning and delegating daily tasks to appropriate staff
  • Client communication
  • Assessing dog behavior and correctly pairing groups
  • Some HR & administrative duties expected
