Warehouse Supervisor/Manager

Overview:
Electrical Supply house in business 100 years is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and possess excellent leadership and organizational skills. As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring efficient warehouse operations, and maintaining a safe working environment. This is a hands on position.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse efficiency and productivity
- Manage and lead a team of warehouse supervisors and associates, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and OSHA standards to maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and resolve any operational issues
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing department to ensure adequate stock levels
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movement and generate reports
- Maintain accurate records of all warehouse activities, including inbound/outbound shipments, inventory counts, and product returns
- Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and identify areas for improvement
- Coordinate with transportation providers to schedule shipments and optimize delivery routes

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role in a distribution center environment
- Strong knowledge of logistics processes and best practices
- Mechanical knowledge of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards
- Strong problem-solving abilities with the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

-This is a hands on physical position - must be able to lift over 50lbs.
