Data Entry Clerk – Job Requirements Position Summary
The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data across company systems while ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and timeliness. The role supports multiple departments by providing reliable administrative and data-processing assistance.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in business administration or information systems preferred.
- Proven experience (1+ year) in data entry, administrative support, or a related clerical role..
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; familiarity with Google Workspace is a plus.
- Basic understanding of databases, spreadsheets, and record‑keeping practices.
Technical Skills
- Ability to input, verify, and reconcile large volumes of data with minimal errors.
- Competence using ERP, POS, or CRM systems (training provided where applicable).
- Knowledge of basic data validation, formatting, and version control.
- Ability to scan, upload, and organize digital documents following naming conventions.

- Collaborate with supervisors and cross‑functional teams to resolve data issues.
- Comply with company policies, data privacy standards, and security protocols.
Work Environment & Expectations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Capacity to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy.
- Flexibility to handle changing priorities and occasional time‑sensitive requests.
- Availability to work scheduled hours; overtime may be required during peak periods.
