Location: Rochester

Salary: Circa £60,000 per annum

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Hardware Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in guiding a talented electronics design team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading both managerial and technical aspects of the team.
  • Managing work packages, including cost, schedule, risk, and opportunities.
  • Ensuring the engineering team meets production program demands.
  • Providing technical governance and ensuring adherence to company processes.
  • Driving cost and performance trade-offs.
  • Overseeing Control Account Management (CAM).
Your Skills and Experiences:

Essential:

  • Demonstrated high performance in leading engineering teams through the full product development lifecycle.
  • Proven experience with cost and planning management tools, optimizing solutions, and minimizing impacts from dependencies.
  • Experience in design and improving working practices, focusing on failure reduction and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
  • Knowledge of supporting production programs.

Desirable:

  • Experience with PLD/FPGA design.
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools, such as DOORS.
  • Experience with work-package management tools, such as MSP or JIRA.
