After extensive training in the INCOE product line, the Application Engineer will be working with customers and other team members to determine the applicable product solution and provide technical support throughout the project timeline. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Application Engineers prepare an analysis of the customer needs, review CAD data, research plastic material requirements, and gather supplemental information to create a concept of the applicable products. Then, via use of the ERP system, provide a quote to the customer for cost and lead time of the INCOE product solution. Once the quote is accepted by the customer, the Applications Engineer initiates the process of opening the order in the ERP system and supplies Design Engineers with pertinent data. Applications Engineering provides consultation to the customer through the design and development process, then reviews Design Engineering outputs (CAD data and drawings) with the customer for approval and acceptance. Applications Engineering also supports customer requests for FEA mold filling simulations, via a team of engineers, as they pertain to the product solution. The Application Engineer is the liaison between Design, Manufacturing, Sales, and the customer, supporting the project from quotation to shipment. Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in the study of Plastics Technology, Mechanical Engineering with Plastics Minor; Mold filling experience a plus, and/or two to three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience in Injection Molding. #J-18808-Ljbffr
