Under the direction of the Director of Information Technology, the Information Technology (IT) Support Technician performs a variety of technical duties involved in the installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of computer hardware, software, systems and network-connected and multimedia peripherals. Requirements / Qualifications
Job-related education and experience which demonstrates the knowledge and ability necessary to perform the essential job duties. Typical qualifying education and experience would include graduation from high school or equivalent supplemented by technical courses. A minimum of one year of technical support work experience. Valid Class C or higher California Driver's License California DMV Driver's Record Report - must be dated within 30 days of application.

SB 848 COMPLIANCE - EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2026
Effective January 1, 2026, and in accordance with California Education Code Section 44051(a)(1), any applicant for a non-teaching position must disclose a complete list of every school district, county office of education, charter school, state special school and diagnostic center operated by the department of education, and private school that the applicant has previously been an employee of, including full-time, part-time, or substitute roles. Failure to provide this information may be considered an act of dishonesty and could affect hiring decisions.
Examination process: Completed applications are reviewed and candidates who meet the minimum qualifications participate in the following examinations: multiple choice exam weighted at 20%, Performance Test weighted at 40% and Qualifications Appraisal Interview weighted at 40%.
The competitive basis for this recruitment is
Open/Promotional . There is one current vacancy. Applicants who pass the exams are placed on one of two eligibility lists, either the promotional list, for current employees of the District, or the open list, for external applicants, in rank order by their overall exam score. The "promotional" list is used first, and, if exhausted, the "open" list would be used to fill the current vacancy. The eligibility lists are used to fill current and future vacancies for six months.
If a candidate has taken the multiple choice and/or performance test for this San Dieguito Union High School District job title or similar job title within the past two years, the candidate may be able to transfer the scores to this recruitment. The exam must be sufficiently similar, as determined by the Director, Classified Personnel. Prior to the application deadline, a request to transfer score(s) should be e-mailed to: barbara.bass@sduhsd.net. Transferring of exam scores does not apply to the Qualifications Appraisal Interview.

Probationary period for a new or promotional employee is six months or 130 days of paid service, whichever is longer.
Employment with San Dieguito Union High School District is contingent upon successful completion of post-offer background check, fingerprinting, physical exam including tuberculosis, drug and alcohol screening, and an Oath of Allegiance.
