Role Overview The Technical Sales Specialist plays a key customer-facing role within NEP Connect, acting as the technical authority during the sales and pre-sales process. The role holder is responsible for understanding customer requirements, designing end-to-end broadcast and media solutions, including contribution, production and distribution working closely with NEP Connect and wider NEP Group technical teams to develop robust, scalable, and operationally deliverable solutions. This role bridges commercial, technical, and operational teams, supporting new business development, major bids, and account growth by ensuring proposed solutions are technically sound, aligned to customer needs, and consistent with NEP Connects managed services and delivery capabilities. Success will be measured through the quality and effectiveness of solution designs, contribution to successful deal closure, and smooth transition from sales to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Support solution-led sales of NEP Connect services, including managed services, media connectivity, cloud, IP, satellite, and hybrid workflows
Act as the primary technical interface for customers during pre-sales, bid, and solution development activities
Engage directly with customers to capture technical, operational and workflow requirements through meetings and workshops
Design end-to-end broadcast and media solutions covering contribution, production, and distribution workflows
Develop high-level and detailed solution architectures, diagrams, and technical documentation
Collaborate closely with sales, business development, and account management teams to support new opportunities and account growth
Work with engineering, operations and delivery teams across the NEP Group to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, and supportable
Contribute technical input to RFP and RFI responses, including solution descriptions, compliance matrices, and clarifications
Support definition of service models, SLAs, operational processes, and sales-to-delivery handover documentation
Identify technical risks, dependencies and assumptions within solution designs, proposing mitigations where appropriate
Assist with solution costing and commercial assumptions in collaboration with finance and commercial teams
Support internal governance and approval processes by providing clear, structured technical input
Stay current with industry trends, technologies and best practices, sharing insights internally
Represent NEP Connect professionally in customer meetings, solution workshops, and industry events
What We're Looking For
Strong technical credibility with the ability to act as a trusted advisor to customers
Clear and confident communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Structured and analytical approach to solution design and problem-solving
Strong collaboration skills, comfortable working in matrixed and cross-functional teams
Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities concurrently
Comfortable operating in customer-facing environments, including presentations and technical workshops
Interests And Background
Strong experience in broadcast, media, or live production technology environments
Proven ability to design solutions across contribution, production, and distribution workflows
Familiarity with technologies including (but not limited to) JPEG 2000, H.264, HEVC, JPEG XS, SRT, NDI, and SMPTE ST 2110
Solid understanding of IP-based broadcast systems, cloud platforms and remote production models
Experience working with managed services and service-based delivery models
Experience contributing to pre-sales, bid or proposal activities
Typically 3–6 years’ experience in a technical sales, solutions or pre-sales role
Relevant technical qualifications or equivalent practical experience preferred

Working Hours: 9am – 5:30pm; Monday to Friday
