Under the general direction of the IT Manager, the incumbent will work independently as well as part of a team to manage Information Technology (IT) services and functions. This includes analyzing, troubleshooting, and maintaining systems and services across desktop support, server administration, networking, and software applications. The incumbent will also be the subject matter expert during implementation and ongoing administration, security and operation of a new platform.

The Public Employment Relations Board is a quasi-judicial administrative agency charged with administering the collective bargaining statutes covering employees of California's public schools, colleges, and universities, employees of the State of California, employees of California local public agencies (cities, counties and special districts), trial court employees and supervisory employees of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. 1. Describe your role in supporting your current enterprise environment.
2. Describe your hands on experience with Windows server administration. Include server build, patching, vulnerability remediation, and incident response.

Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
Expert level knowledge of IT systems and software, including networking concepts and practices including routing protocols, switches, security devices, using advanced software and troubleshooting tools and scripting methods, cloud computing platforms. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including identity, storage, networking, and data analytics. Experience with Power BI, SQL, or other reporting/visualization tools. Experience with administering enterprise applications and data pipelines. Working knowledge of California state IT standards (SAM, SIMM), NIST security controls. Ability to analyze data and situations, reason logically and creatively, identify problems, draw valid conclusions, and develop effective solutions. Ability to develop and maintain knowledge and skills related to the position's specific tasks, methodologies, materials, tools, and equipment. Ability to adhere to departmental policies and procedures regarding attendance, leave, and conduct. Knowledge of project management, flowchart processes and strong organizational skills. Excellent communication, technical and report writing, acceptable English grammar and structure in business correspondence and other communication. Ability to work well independently and with a team, establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Commitment to maintain confidentiality and protecting sensitive information. Excellent customer service skills.
