Business Analyst – Communications Surveillance Technology
We’re working with a global financial services organisation undergoing a major technology transformation across its communications surveillance estate and they are looking for a Business Analyst to join them Overview
You’ll support three key workstreams: Migration of e-communications data into AWS Data retention, purge and legal hold processes Case management and regulatory risk reduction You’ll act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, risks are understood, and solutions deliver real value. The environment covers a wide range of communication channels including (but not limited to): Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE, Teams, Slack, Symphony, Skype, SMS, WhatsApp and WeChat. Responsibilities
Lead requirements gathering, validation and documentation across data integration, data retention and legal hold initiatives Partner with senior stakeholders across Compliance, Legal, Operations and Technology Work closely with DataOps and engineering teams to design secure, scalable data solutions Identify inefficiencies and propose improvements aligned with industry best practice Perform impact assessments, feasibility analysis and risk reviews Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership Stay up to date with regulatory and technology developments in communications surveillance Strong experience with business communications technologies (e.g. Bloomberg, ICE, Teams, WhatsApp for Business, Cloud9, BT Turrets, mobile voice, etc.) Proven background delivering data-driven projects (data integration, case management, data lifecycle management) Solid experience working with DataOps and technical delivery teams Strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies (JIRA preferred) Excellent business analysis, process modelling and requirements gathering skills Experience working in regulated financial services environments Confident stakeholder manager with strong communication skills Proficient with analytics and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel) Passion for data, controls and best-in-class solutions Knowledge of trading platforms and market operations
