The Role This is an exciting opportunity to work across all parts of the business from acquisition and creative testing to retention and product experience. You’ll play a key role in building out Simmer’s data foundation, helping us leverage data effectively and translate insights into action. You’ll work closely with the Founder, Finance Director and Growth lead, combining technical skill with commercial curiosity to help us make better, faster decisions.
What You’ll Do
Analyse & Model:
Develop and maintain clean, usable data models. Write SQL queries to pull and manipulate data across key systems.
Deliver Insights:
Turn raw data into clear, actionable insights that help us grow, from campaign performance to subscriber behaviour.
Support Project Delivery:
Help scope and deliver key analytics projects, ensuring timelines and data quality are maintained.
Collaborate with Stakeholders:
Partner with teams across Growth, Product, and Operations to define data needs and share insights clearly.
Data Architecture Support:
Contribute to documentation like data dictionaries, data lineage, and dashboards.
Continuous Improvement:
Help improve our reporting, measurement frameworks, and data processes as we scale.
Commercial Awareness:
Understand where data can have the biggest impact on growth, retention, and profitability.
What we’re looking for You’re a curious, analytical thinker who loves turning numbers into narratives. You’re as comfortable in SQL as you are explaining a finding to a non technical stakeholder. You thrive in fast paced environments and want to be part of a team that’s scaling something special.
Experience & Skills
3-4 years in a data analytics or insight role within a consumer, eCommerce, or subscription business
Strong SQL skills and experience with BI tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau, PowerBI)
Solid commercial thinking (retention, LTV, margin, funnel logic)
Confident partnering with Growth / CRM / E-com
Experience in a D2C or subscription environment is a plus, but not essential.
Strategic thinker who identifies the right questions to ask, not just answers the questions given
Scrappy and resourceful, comfortable working with imperfect data and finding creative solutions to analytical challenges
Strong business judgment with focus on driving impact, not just producing analysis
Detail oriented with high standards for accuracy and quality of work
Self starter who can work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
