The Life Enrichment Assistant (LEA) supports the Life Enrichment Director (LED) in delivering engaging activities and events for residents in Memory Care. This role involves creating a positive, energetic environment and providing necessary assistance to residents while enhancing their emotional, social, and physical well-being.
Reports to: Life Enrichment Director (LED)
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement a variety of Life Enrichment activities to support residents' well-being.
- Lead and assist in activities, modifying them as needed for residents with physical or cognitive impairments.
- Encourage resident participation with a positive and helpful attitude.
- Organize and accompany residents on special outings.
- Assist with activity/event planning and promote programs through notices and posters.
- Track resident engagement and maintain a clean, organized environment for activities.
- Capture photos during events and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Drive the community van as needed.
- Participate in required in-services, educational opportunities, and staff meetings.
Requirements:
- Must have equivalent with relevant experience in senior living, child care, or activities.
- Knowledge of dementia and related disorders.
- Ability to communicate effectively and interact with diverse residents.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Safe driving record.
- Strong customer service and hospitality skills.
