Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to oversee daily retail operations, ensure excellent customer service, and lead a team towards achieving sales and operational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, be highly organized, and demonstrate exceptional communication abilities. This role requires a proactive leader capable of managing inventory, supervising staff, and maintaining a positive shopping environment. Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus to effectively serve diverse customer bases.
Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance to foster a motivated team.
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS transactions.
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, Daily Cigarette and Lottery Counts and pricing strategies to optimize sales.
- Develop and implement sales strategies, marketing initiatives, and promotional activities to increase store traffic and revenue.
- Conduct employee orientation sessions and ongoing training to ensure high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and maintain excellent customer relations.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare reports for upper management.
- Coordinate purchasing activities, manage budgets, and oversee bookkeeping responsibilities such as payroll and expense tracking.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and health standards.
Requirements
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong skills in negotiation, employee recruitment, interviewing, and team management.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS devices, cash handling, and retail math.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customers.
- Experience in merchandising, marketing, stock management, and pricing strategies.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on training & development and operational oversight.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes and administrative tasks such as payroll processing and bookkeeping.
- Ability to handle customer service issues professionally with phone etiquette skills.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to supervise shift operations efficiently. This position offers an opportunity to lead a vibrant retail environment while developing your career in store management through ongoing training & development initiatives.
Pay: $37, $56,143.92 per year
