Automotive Painter

Tom Wood Subaru, in Indianapolis, IN is looking for an Automotive Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, skilled in automotive refinishing, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship that meets dealership and manufacturer standards while supporting an exceptional customer experience.

Pay: $20-$30/flat rate hour

Responsibilities:

• Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning.
• Mix, match, and apply automotive paint to achieve accurate color and finish consistency.
• Operate spray guns, paint booths, and related refinishing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform refinishing, clear coat applications, and touch-up work as needed.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality, durability, and appearance standards are met.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with reconditioning team to meet repair timelines

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an automotive painter or refinisher preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive paint systems, materials, and refinishing techniques.
• Ability to produce consistent, high-quality finishes with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs efficiently.
• Required-valid driver's license, with clean record
