Summary

We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate team at Clemmons Veterinary Clinic. In this role, you will support our veterinarians in delivering high-quality care to our patients, ensuring their health and well-being while contributing to a positive experience for pet owners.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures.
• Handle and restrain animals safely during treatments.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms and surgical areas.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed by veterinarians.
• Perform laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures.
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate records of patient information and treatments.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of animal handling techniques and veterinary practices.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with compassion for animals.
• Basic understanding of animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry.
